There are well over a million “new homes starts”, the United States every year, but only a small fraction of these houses are made to order. It  sad thing SA. Your home is the largest single investment most people make in their lives. Your house has a big impact on you and your family. It’s not just an object, it’s your house. It’s environment that you hold and act upon each other with over a greater part of your life than anywhere else. And we are all trained and influenced by our environment.

“But I can’t have the means to design a customs office,” and you say. Well that may be so, but even if you choose among plans or select a standard plan of a book of house designs, you can make better choices and understand what being your perfect home is the study about of what constitutes good design. You must raise your level of consciousness.

As an architect I am often asked, what is the most important consideration when you design a house? In my opinion the most important quality is that it is simple purposefulness plan. To achieve this, your plan at home should have a theme or main concept as the core of the development plan. This should give the organization, as the flow in your house plan.

The most direct and simple methods to organize a plan is often the best. One that I used as the basis of many plans is the “classic, four plane.” square shape of the main house is at right angles with an axis that acts as a connector. This is the idea used in the “classical style” of Georgia; home. The main rooms of the house are in each square in the corner, with a hallway and a stairwell as the center acting as a connection between rooms on same floor. The upper floor also has a similar model with bedrooms in the corners, bathroom at the end of the hall. As you walk through a house like this, the spaces feel accurate because they are organized in a way that seems reasonable.

Take a look at a typical house plan. It will probably be a part of this organization as a fundamental concept useful. Perhaps the central hall is wider in one area, as in the home. The stairwell can bend, or go off to the side of the central axis. You can find more room behind that team still in it’s organized plan. Try to think of how you want your rooms fit together and how spaces enter in an orderly manner.

Other concepts are more complex organization, and rights can be for you. The thoughtful planning will help you reach a floor plan and meaningful and useful. No matter what your home design requires a plan that fulfills your needs. A house can be refined and expensive, but without a plan with integrity and unity, he does not feel right. You want to feel settled, contented and happy in your home. Design your home with a good plan so that your house becomes a perfect fit for your family.
